We recently studied Israel's King Ahaziah in 2 Kings 1. We learned how he was punished with death for consulting the false gods instead of the true God. Of course, we weren't surprised, seeing as he was the son of wicked King Ahab and his evil wife Jezebel. Often children turn out to be a lot like their parents.
After looking up some passages about parents and children, write a paragraph summarizing what God says about raising children or treating parents.

ReplyDeleteMake sure that the parent is a christian and a follower of God first then when your children start to grow up they will follow your ways like a christian and will be a follower of God adn they will follow in your ways.

Parents should not treat there kids harshly or make them do to much work.but if they spoil them to much that would not be good for them (the parents and the kids) because the parents might be spending to much and the kids well... if the parents passed away they woulden’t knw how to take care of themselves.

God says that you have to obey your parents.Like in Ephesians 6:1 when you obey your parents it pleases the Lord.You should always honor your father and mother so you can live a long and good life.The Lord loves it when you obey him and do what is right.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord says that children were supposed to obey their parents, and it pleases him. Parents are supposed to teach and tell them about the Lord. King Ahaziah was a very evil king and like father like son his little boy followed in his father’s shoes. Ephesians 6 says Children obey you parents in the Lord, for this is right. Those were God’s actual words!

THese verses tell us that we should honer our father and mother. Yes the Bible dose say that and usually the child is like the parents. King Ahab`s son King Ahaziah is a lot like his parents he was also what the LORD says ``He did evil in the eyes of the LORD`` . The LORD also said that about his father king Ahab. The Bible also says that children should obey there parents. I agree because if we did not obey our parents we might get in trouble with people. Our parents tell us what is rite and what is wrong, if they did not tell us those we would not know rite from wrong. Up on top are some Bible verses about obeying our parents.
Parents should teach thier childern to obey GOD because if they don’t they will do wrong and GOD will not help them. And if your parents teach you about GOD like my parents did GOD will be with you and gide you and I think thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

children should obey there parents but, children have the right to be treated with respect and kindness. God says in leviticus 19:3 “‘Each of you must respect your mother and father. Except how are you supposed to honor your mother and father if they don’t respect you. jillian

Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise. 1 Timothy 3:4 says, He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. Colossians 3:20 says, Children, obey your parents in everything for this pleases the Lord.
